How to Setup via Ledger.com/Start®
Follow these simple steps to initialize your device and secure your assets.
Unbox & Connect
Open your Ledger box and check that it contains the device, a USB cable, and recovery sheets. Connect the device to your computer or smartphone using the provided USB cable.
Download Ledger Live
Navigate to the official download section on Ledger.com/Start®. Download and install the Ledger Live application for your operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android).
Initialize Device
Follow the on-screen instructions on your Ledger device. Choose "Set up as new device". You will be asked to choose a PIN code. Make sure it's something you can remember but hard to guess.
Secure Recovery Phrase
Crucial Step: Your device will display a 24-word recovery phrase. Write these words down exactly as shown on the recovery sheet. Never take a photo or store this digitally. This phrase is the only way to recover your funds if your device is lost.
